Sunset Beach, Koh Lipe, Thailand
Sunset Beach on Koh Lipe Island (also known as Hat Pramong) is the smallest beach and somewhat “secret” compared to the other two main Ko Lipe beaches. It is located in a secluded lagoon with large boulders sticking out of the sand and water, so you can easily recognize it on various photos. As the name suggests, it’s the best spot to watch amazing sunsets on Koh Lipe, Thailand.
Holiday makers come here to relax and get away from the busiest places on the island. One can find quite a few restaurants and bars at Sunset Beach. The beach is only 10 minutes away from Ko Lipe’s Walking Street. So, you are never far from the most visited areas.
Sunrise Beach, Koh Lipe, Thailand
Sunrise Beach of Koh Lipe Island is also known as Hat Chao Ley Beach for its proximity to the village of natives that is called Chao Ley. This beach has the longest coastal line and offers marvelous views of the nearby mountain island Koh Adang.
Even though Sunrise Beach is a bit less visited than Pattaya, it constantly attracts tourist that love snorkeling right off the beach, as this beach is probably the best location for this kind of activity. The abundance of exotic tropical creatures swimming in all directions will surely amaze holiday-makers.
Tourists also come here to watch the finest sunrises on Koh Lipe (no wonder the beach is called “Sunrise”) and to enjoy a nice cool breeze during hot days.
Pattaya Beach, Koh Lipe, Thailand
Pattaya called “the postcard of Koh Lipe” for its beauty is the main beach of Ko Lipe Island with 1,5 kilometers of totally white sand and turquoise water. It is also the closest beach to the central street – Ko Lipe’s Walking Street that attracts tourists from all over the island.
Many people come to Pattaya Beach on Ko Lipe to enjoy dozens of restaurants, bars and cafes, while others want to play volleyball, frisbee, do kayaking, have a massage or spa treatment in one of the parlors or simply take a nap in the hammock under the gracious palm trees.
In the evening, Pattaya Beach with its many anchored long tail boats is full of Chao Ley people that come here to catch crabs for tasty Thai dishes. It’s quite interesting to visit this place in such time.
